The aim of our school is to provide a caring, learning environment, which facilitates the nurturing of each pupil’s full educational potential. The achievement of this aim is central to all of the planning processes and activities that occur in our school.

St Laurence O’Toole’s National School, Roundwood is a Catholic School and is under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin, Dr. Diarmuid Martin.

School Timetable

9.15a.m.                   Pupils join class group in line

9.10 – 9.20a.m.                   Pupils arrive (Bell rings at 9.20a.m.)

11.00 – 11.10a.m.                   Break

1.00- 1.30p.m.                   Lunch

2.00p.m.                   School finishes for Infant Classes

3.00p.m.                   School finishes for 1st – 6th class

Dress Code

Choose from the following:

1        Grey Trousers (Boys/Girls)

2        Grey Skirt/Pinafore

3        Blue Shirt/Polo Shirt

4        Wine Jumper/Cardigan

5        Wine or Grey Socks/Tights

6        Wine Tie (Optional)

All of the above are available in chain stores and school uniform supply shops. The School Uniform Shop in Greystones Tesco Centre provide uniform with crest (optional).

We would encourage the wearing of proper school shoes. (Black)

All belongings/jumpers/tracksuit tops must be clearly marked with the pupils name:

All unmarked property/jumpers/tracksuit tops are put into the lost property box.

P.E./Sports Events/Tennis

Pupils may wear a grey tracksuit bottom (available in chain stores), blue polo shirt, jumper and runners. School Tracksuit with crest, if desired for P.E. is available also from The School Uniform shop in Greystones Shopping Centre (optional)

On all other days and on special school occasions full uniform will be expected.
