Friends for life celebration 🎉 Thinking in more positive ways💚

Mrs. Walsh’s and Ms. O’Brien’s 5th class have accomplished fantastic work over their TEN week Friends for LIfe programme! 👫👭👬

They have shared ideas, developed their coping step plans(which they can put into action when dealing with tricky or difficult situations), learned how to ‘ catch those Red thoughts’😡 And help turn them into ‘ green thoughts’ 😄💚.

On top of all that they practised Relaxation techniques 🎎 like  …….……………..
PIZZA MASSAGE🍕 and MILKSHAKE BREATHING 🍧

Most importantly they practised how to look people in the eye when talking, to use a brave voice, smile and stand up tall!🤗

Remember it’s okay to express your thoughts and feelings as you now know there are positive ways to deal with them!

* THOUGHTS 🙄➡️ Can effect FEELINGS 😡😬😄😱➡️Which can effect BEHAVIOUR 🚶🏃🏽*

Well Done All👏 Dr Martin

Ms. O’Brien( Principal)  was so thrilled to see all the hard work that was put into our “Green Thoughts” party and would like to thank all the children and parents for the wonderful green themed baked goods🎂🍪

Now have a look at all our great photographs ! I know Mrs. Walsh & Ms. O’Brien are very proud👌

Army Band

Watch the video of the army band entertaining the school today. It was a great treat for everyone to hear such an array of instruments being played so well. Our new stage was put to great use as the children could see all the instruments clearly.
A special thanks to Miss Fitzpatrick for organising this special treat.

Visit to Dáil

Last week 5th and 6th class went to the Dáil. After a tour of the Dáil and Seanad we enjoyed our lunch on the grounds of Trinity College. Hopefully some of these 67 pupils will be students there some day. Thanks to the Lotto fund for this trip.
